“Writers write what they know. The truth is writers write what they need to know.” --Gail Sheehy
Horse as a Metaphor...building a mutually enjoyable relationship with a horse is a metaphor for life’s lessons; for learning humility, grace, clear communication, respecting the mind-body connection, emotional intelligence, overcoming fears, and most importantly learning about trust, leadership and tolerance for yourself and for others.
I am responsible for my own learning.
If you want to learn about yourself, I suggest building a relationship with a horse. You will become aware of, at a minimum, self consciousness, impatience, ego, acceptance, compassion, exhilaration and leadership.
Throughout this web-site I share teachings and observations from various natural horse people, psychotherapists, coaches and wise people. This site is a compilation of readings that capture the essence of a handful of topics that are key to enjoying horses and life.
My intent is when you read these pages you will feel inspired to continue on your own journey or reaffirm that you are on a path of learning and cooperation. I encourage you to click on the tabs listed at the top of each page, read a topic and then go spend time with your horse.
Enjoy the ride.
